A very informative Webinar hosted by BICBA on Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), with particular focus on Mediation was held online earlier this week with over 250 practitioners in attendance. The event was chaired by The Honourable Mr Justice Horner, the webinar was an enlightening insight and introduction to online mediation and its role in the current pandemic. The discussion then focused on the future of ODR beyond Covid.
Aaron Moore, Director at CCODR, discussed the features practitioners should consider when choosing an ODR platform. While Michael Bready BL gave a demonstration of how to conduct a mediation online and his view of ODR from the perspective of a mediator.
Providing his observations and experience in online mediation Andrew Singer QC spoke about advocating on behalf of a party as their legal representative.
