I sit on the RICS Presidents Panel for commercial Rent Review and Lease Renewal Arbitrators.  The arbitrations I have been involved in have involved rents ranging from £15,000pa to £550,000pa.  The properties involved have been typical commercial properties (retail, offices, land and industrial / warehouses).  These arbitrations typically involve Chartered Surveyors making representations to me on behalf of their clients (Landlords or Tenants) regarding the level of rent that should be paid at rent review (during the lease) or lease renewal (at the end of the lease).  I have been undertaking these instructions for 2 years and complete an Award approximately every month.

I have also completed approximately 20 ABTA arbitrations, which involve disputes between holidaymakers and tour operators.
